JPC Needs Your Help

We desperately need your help! The Job Placement Consortium has just received notice from VESID that they intend to cancel their contract with the JPC as of June 30th 2010. We are hoping you can help us change their mind.
We are asking all JPC members, job coaches and job developers to please write letters to VESID. In your letter, please point out how:
 
·         The JPC has benefited you personally
·         The JPC has benefited your consumers and the number amount
·         The JPC has benefited your agency
·         Your consumers would be affected if the JPC did not exist
·         Your job would be affected if the JPC did not exist
·         Your agency would be affected if the JPC did not exist
·         How many hours your staff spends on job development and dollar amount if possible
·         How the JPC supported the effort of each agency with their VESID consumers
 
All letters should be addressed as follows:

If you are an agency that gets funding from VESID please state that in the letter and how the importance of the job leads supports the efforts of your agency.
 
Please encourage any consumers that we have helped, any managers of your agency, and anyone else you can think of to write letters to help us stay open so we can continue to support the community.

Directions to the JPC Office

To get to the JPC Office once you are at Crossgates Mall,

  • Enter the blue exit door located between CVS and KB Toys. The door says "Emergency Exit" but don't be deterred from entering.
  • Follow the signs to the end of the long hallway and take a right.
  • Go straight and then take a left and then an immediate right.
  • Notice the "bank-like" windows on your right.
  • If you are seeking job services, come to the first window for assistance.
  • If you are a JPC member, employee or volunteer, go past the windows to the door on the right and ring the doorbell.
